With an app called Camo, you no longer need to hide during Zoom meetings.
Camo allows you to use your camera phone instead of your laptop camera for video calls, providing better quality video and helping you put your best face forward.
What’s wrong with my webcam, you may ask? According to the Camo website:
“iPhone cameras are getting better but webcams are getting worse. As The Wall Street Journal reported, some 2020 laptop cameras are worse than 2010 models, and many only do 720p, which even YouTube doesn’t consider 'HD.' We’re taking a fresh approach to solving this: no ads, no spam, no fiddly pairing, no drivers, and a polished, simple app that lets you make the most of the amazing camera you already own.”
Camo also offers detailed image controls — kind of like Photoshopping yourself for your video.
The app is compatible with Zoom, Google Meet, GoTo Meeting, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and many more platforms.
There is no cost to download the basic version. The company offers Camo Pro upgrade discounts for non-profits and those who work in education. Learn more.
Curious how to mount your phone? They’ve got an article for that too!
