Evaluation Criteria: Creating a Culture, Improving Instruction, Closing the Gap
The pandemic has had a major effect on Cispus, its programs, the staff, and the Learning Center’s future.
Chances are, you or someone you know has benefited from a leadership program held at our Cispus Learning Center. This year, we’re asking for your help to keep AWSP’s Cispus Learning Center around forever.
Cispus has been the home of outdoor education camp for decades. The purpose of Cispus is to support improvement of the K-12 educational programs for the students in the schools of the State of Washington. In 2019, we hosted almost 12,700 visitors for over 43,000 days of use.
AWSL (Association of Washington Student Leaders) is our programming division, providing opportunities for ALL students to develop their leadership potential. Cispus plays host to 16 summer leadership programs for students in grades 6-12 as well as adult learning. We also run our leadership programs throughout the year.
We’ve officially launched a campaign and website to create an endowment to keep Cispus and its programs going forever. Our goal is to raise $5 million in five years. Your testimony, your partnership, and your financial contributions all help.
We encourage you to share your Cispus story with us on social medial using hashtag #CispusForever. We’d also love if you could share our Cispus Forever Flyer with anyone who might have a vested interest in our Learning Center.
If you’d like to learn more, check out this blog post from our executive director, Dr. Scott Seaman.
We need each and every one of YOU to help us keep Cispus around forever!
