Nominate Today for 2021 Principal of the Year
Every year, AWSP selects a Washington State Principal of the Year. In the past, we’ve selected three state winners; one from elementary, one from middle level, and one from high school. This year, we've selected one for secondary and one for elementary. Moving forward, we’re revamping our Principal of the Year selection process. We will select one winner per ESD, regardless of level, and select one state winner from the nine ESD/Regional winners. This aligns with the classified, teacher, and superintendent of the year award programs.
The nomination window is now open! Anyone can nominate. Nominations must be submitted by June 30, 2021. Learn more.
Psst! Check out our stories in this issue about the fantastic 2020 Principals and Assistant Principals of the Year!

AWSP’s Learning Management System (LMS): Live, On-Demand, and Online
We know principals across the state have very different access to professional learning. AWSP's learning management system is designed to bring our content to wherever you are, on your time, and with or without your team. Some courses are designed to be watched with a team, where we provide resources and guiding questions to help make them interactive. Others are just for you for learning on your own time. The best part is, thanks to grants and contracts with OSPI, we have tons of FREE content. Learn more.
